June 25-27 Skills and Thrills Campout
This camping trip was at Sunset Hill Farm in Valparaiso, IN. The focus of this outing was to play fun games while learning
skills used for the rank requirements.

April 16-18 Shooting Sports
We shot skeet and rifles this weekend and camped at Willow Slough. All Scouts shot safely and the weather was
great. Quite a few clay pigeons were dusted that day!
April 3-4 Eagle Cave
Troop 69 camped in and explored Eagle Cave. Bill and Mike even managed
to squeeze and follow our Scouts through some small passages. When we were not exploring, we played bingo, video games and
basketball. The night in the cave was mostly dry but cold. Lastly, yes there were bats in the cave.
March 27 Potawatomi Trail Hike
7 Scouts, 4 Leaders and guests completed a 10 mile hike at the Dunes State Park. Many Scouts from different Troops
and Packs attended the event. The weather started out cold and foggy and turned out great by the end of the day. Concessions were
available and we were hungry! Be Prepared is Scout motto, and our Scouts were. Robert and Will brought extensive first aid
supplies and fixed a minor blister with moleskin. Good Job!
February 28 Shedd Aquaruim Trip
Troop 69 went to the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago. We saw the
dolphin show and the new Wild Reef exibit. During the trip, nobody was bitten by this shark.

July 8 Fun Night
Instead of having our regular meeting, we will go to the Schererville Fun Center. Meet at 5:00 as usual, and we will
return between 8-9:00PM. The Scouts should bring $13.00 which will include game tokens, mini-golf, pizza, pop and ice

July 17-24 Owasippe Scout Reservation Muskegon, MI.
Summer Camp 2004 Troop 69 attended Owasippe Camp Blackhawk. GO!
Many badges were earned and Troop 69 was the week 4 campwide games champions! See our photos page for pictures.
August 29 Canoing in South Bend
This canoe trip was near South Bend, IN. The Troop had a great time except when our Scoutmaster sank all of the lunches
in his canoe.
September 24-26 Fall Camporee
The fall camporee was held at Camp To-pe-ne-bee in Michigan City. Our Scouts and leaders did well on the scout skill
events!
October 15-17 Fishing Outing
The troop will go fishing near Michigan City. We will fish for salmon, bass
or other fish. Catch all you can!
November 19-21 Kalamazoo Air Zoo
The troop will go to the Air Zoo in Kalamazoo, MI. We will look at the aircraft, flight simulators, and theater/rides.

December - Computer Camp-in
The troop will camp in the Scout Cabin. We will learn about computers, and have our Christmas feast! Be there for the
Decemberween festivities!
